The Many Faces of Judah

OHHHHH Judah

Judah-boy is now 18 months old! He is growing so much and really trying to talk and repeat words. Our doctor even said he is taller than his 2 1/2 year old son! What a character Judah is. He has me laughing most days. There are even times when he's being naughty and I have to turn my head because I'm cracking up. He's still in love with his baby sister, although he's starting to get a little rough with her. It's just the boy coming out of him! It's pretty cute cause there's times when she will see him and start smiling and cooing at him. It makes him feel good! :) We had a fun trip to Portland to see Auntie Beth and Uncle Stevie. He loves his Auntie Beth! We got to take both kids to the zoo and had a great time looking at the animals, although Judah was freaked out at the seals and the lion. It's awesome cause you're so close to them, but Judah didn't want to touch the glass and wanted to be held when we were right next to the lion, although he did tell me what a lion says. :) Mom and dad got him a little 4-wheeler when Joshah and I were off on a date and he rides that thing everyday. He even tries to do tricks on it which cracks me up. He'll stand on the seat and hold the handlebars or sit on the seat and put his feet up over the bars. He's also trying to feed himself more and more lately. He likes holding his own fork and working it out. This morning I made him a little stack of pancakes and eggs and he went to town on it! I can't say enough about my kids...they're great! :)

Golfing

A few weekends ago, Joshah gave Judah a golfing lesson. It was pretty cute to see him swinging a club! I'm sure it'll make his Grandpa Gordy and golfing uncles very proud. Who knows, maybe we have the next Tiger Woods Jr. on our hands. :)

Drawer

The other night Joshah and I were in the living room and heard Judah playing in the kitchen. He has two drawers that he's allowed to open, but the top two are off limits. We thought he was trying to pull stuff out of one of the "off limits" drawer, but when Joshah went in to check on him, he said, 'You better come check this out." So I went in and he had crawled into the bottom drawer and was sitting there playing quite contently! :) It's his new favorite spot!

Spring Valley

We took Judah to a place called Spring Valley on Saturday. It was pretty hot out and the boys wanted to get in the water for awhile, so we packed up our gear and headed to the lake. Judah had such a blast with Joshah. At first the water was pretty cold for both of them, but once they got in, all I heard were laughs and happy screams (from Judah mind you :)). They had a fun time while I stayed in the tent with Eva. We only stayed for about an hour cause it got to be too hot, but it was well worth the trip. We're hoping to go again soon!!

"Praise Jesus"

Judah's name means praise and if you saw him in church, you'd see how true he is to his name! Many times from the stage I'll see him waving his arms in the air, clapping his hands, or "singing" as we do praise and worship. When he and I are home I've tried to teach him to praise Jesus when we listen to Christian songs. So awhile ago, I asked Judah if he could praise Jesus and this is what he did all on his own...

Birthday Boy

My little boy is now 1 year old! His birthday was last Tuesday and we had his actual birthday party on Saturday. Many friends and family came to celebrate and we had a really nice time! Joshah and I bought him a little slice of cake to eat on Tuesday night and he LOVED it!! I gave him a lick of the frosting while Joshah was getting the video camera ready and Judah did not want to wait for dad to get finished. It was fun to see him go to town on his cake, both Tuesday and Saturday! :) Judah-boy is such a blessing to me! He continually makes us laugh and has become quite the monkey! :) Joshah taught him what a monkey says, so when you ask he's quick to give you the answer. I'm looking forward to the months ahead. I'm sure he's going to make a great big brother! :)

Here's a few more pictures of Judah! He's getting so close to walking, we can hardly believe it! He's taken a few steps on his own and pops up all over the place. but our guess is that he'll be walking by his first birthday. It's only a (short) matter of time before I'll be chasing him around the house. :) He's such a character and has been a huge joy to have. We're looking forward to seeing him grow and develop even more.

Laughing

I got Judah laughing really hard a few days ago and thought I'd share! Funny how such simple little sounds can make a baby laugh so hard.

Smiles

Judah is 9 months now and can be such a silly-billy. It seems like whenever I have a camera in hand and ask him to smile, he grins and squints his eyes together. I crack up every time he does it. He's such a good boy and is excited to have a baby sister! Yep, Joshah and I found out we're going to have a girl come July so we're all really excited!

Little Bear

It's probably mean that I did this, but as I was driving home from the store a few days ago, I heard Judah snoring behind me. He's been sick with a cold here and there, so he was plugged up, but I just thought it was so cute. Hopefully you do too! :)

Joshah bought me some weights for my birthday and Judah just had to check them out. We figured out he's actually quite strong! :) Pair that with some cute sock monkey pj's and you're set! Hope you like them Aunt Bethany! :)

Crawling

Well, my son started crawling a week ago! I was sitting in the living room with him when all of a sudden his little knees started shuffling and before I knew it he was trying to get into the dvd's. I thought, "WAIT A SECOND!!" and pulled him back about three feet from the movies and in just a couple seconds he was right back at them! :) It was exciting to see him crawl and now my life is crazy. :)

Glasses

Before Christmas, Joshah and I went to the eye doctor to get a yearly checkup. The doctor said I should get glasses to help me better see long distance. Well, Judah also decided to try some frames out. Joshah and I laughed so hard when we tried these frames on him. He really studied himself in the mirror! Thankfully, he doesn't need any glasses. :)
